These Are The Times That Try Men’s Souls

We stand today on Monday January 11th 2021 between two worlds and two alternative futures.

I believe the next week or so could well be more dramatic and earth-shattering than any far-fetched movie; OR it could be just more of the same gradual decay of the Western World into the Leftism chaos with the corresponding intellectual and material poverty that is associated with any and all historical attempts to introduce Socialism (also known by its sibling Fascism and its older and even more evil brother, Communism).

 

It is fascinating that as some of us await with bated breath to see which future will unfold, I am reminded of a fascinating verse from this week's Torah Portion (Va'eira - Exodus 6:2-9:35).

 

In Exodus 9:19 we read:

 "Now therefore send, get your livestock and all that you have in the field into safe shelter, for every man and beast that is in the field and is not brought home will die when the hail falls on them."

 

Before Yehovah sends the plague of hail he offers a warning and kindness. If gives many in Egypt, from the top down time to heed His call and get their people, slaves and livestock under safe shelter.

 

He could simply have exercised His great power, but He gave those with any openness of heart and willing to heed the call and chance to save themselves and their property.

What has the potential events of this possibly momentous week got to do with this narrative?

 

Consider the USA and for the sake of the analogy envision the President as Yehovah Himself (or at least as Moshe representing Yehovah). President Trump has offered a great many kindnesses and 'way-outs' to those in power who have been acting with evil intent. As the President of the USA (POTUS), he has great powers to act, which to date he has not ultilised, but rather, at every turn, he has offered those who attack truth and righteousness many opportunities to repent, to turn away from their crimes. Most will not be aware of any of this as the MSM is so corrupt and part of the problem that it has effectively hidden this reality from the masses.

Trump is in fact an extremely kind and generous human being. His quiet acts of kindness towards so many hurting individuals and families across the US over many years have been and continue to be, generous to the extreme. Part of the proof of his kindness and his great wisdom can be seen in how effective and loving he has been as a father to his children.

 

But much more than all this, he has repeatedly held off on the full exercise of the power of his office, and instead offered an olive branch to the domestic enemies of the people of the USA. Some, though it seems very few,  have accepted.

 

Below are just a few quotes by a retired US general from an article that might highlight, to those prepared to at least listen, how grave the situation right now is.

 

You will note that he also speaks of being at a crossroads.

 

I for one certainly don't know down which path; which world or alternative future we are embarking on, and I sadly suspect that the call from this retired general will fall on deaf ears in the sense that the wrong path will most likely be taken and the criminal Biden inaugurated to help destroy the USA and her allies as quickly as possible.

 

But what I am certain of, is that Yehovah still rules and that He will ultimately see justice is done, though this might not be until Mashiach comes! Come quickly!!

 

‘This is more dangerous than the civil war’:

 

"A second retired general has come out and said publicly that President Trump is all that stands between the American people and the onset of Chinese-style communism and that Trump must invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807, declare martial law and arrest the perpetrators of a coup in progress.

“This is treason,” Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, [U.S. Army retired]. "We have an enemy who, with China, has created an America that I don’t understand.”

He also addressed China’s infiltration of America’s business, higher-education, political and cultural institutions.

“They [China] have taken Hong Kong, and Taiwan is their next target,” Vallely said. “That’s why we have to keep President Trump. He understands this.”

... Vallely was joined on the show by his old friend Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney [U.S. Air Force retired] and neither one of the former generals dismissed the rumors that Trump may crack down on the coup plotters.

... “The Supreme Court of the United States said Texas lacks standing. Please. We’re not just talking about vote fraud and standing,” he said. “We’re talking about treason. President Trump must invoke the Insurrection Act, he must suspend habeas corpus, because this is the largest cyber warfare attack in history. This is Pearl Harbor.”

The mainstream media, by publishing news stories that say Trump’s claims of election fraud are “baseless,” are “complicit in the treasonous acts,” McInerney said.

“Four states all violated their constitutional rules for voting. There will be no surrender. This president, I believe, and looking at the 80 million I believe voted for him, it is very obvious this country is not going to sit back and turn it over to socialists and communists.”

... He said Big Tech – Google, Facebook and Twitter – are shutting down or censoring the president’s communications, as well as that of his supporters, and that must be stopped.

“High Tech companies are censoring against Americans’ First Amendment rights,” he said. “And at the same time we have mayors locking down cities for COVID 19. We know this virus was introduced by the Chinese at the same time the impeachment was an exercise in distraction. Dr. Fauci put $3.7 million into the Wuhan lab.”

He said martial law would not curtail the freedoms of law-abiding Americans as much as these mayors’ COVID restrictions.

McInerney said he believes America is at its most important crossroads in the country’s 235-year existence as an independent sovereign nation.

... “Mr. President, you have no choice. You must defend the nation against enemies foreign and domestic. Period.”

 

“Today, President Trump is facing an even graver adversity: The CCP is barking at the door, ready to take over America at any moment; the swamp of D.C., colluding with the mass media, social media, high-tech giants and celebrities faked a President-Elect and rushed to shove him into the White House through a deeply corrupt election and unprecedented fake propaganda. 

 

Not only is this a time for the American people to choose their future between freedom or communism, but this is also a time for everyone in the world to make a choice between good and evil. ‘These are the times that try men’s souls.’”
