While this is not at all a theological issue, it is very typical of a great many controversies, and issues that are raised these days in the public arena. I think that the ability to look at both sides; to try to avoid our own 'confirmation bias' when we approach such issues; and to utilise the skills of critical and logical reasoning (please see my blog post on 'Abductive Reasoning' for a little more on this) are all factors needed to better evaluate these challenges. This does not mean we will always get it right, as with more evidence coming to light we may need to re-evaluate our previous conclusions. CO2 Pollution?
One of the biggest 'sacred cows' of the whole AGW lobby/agenda is the flawed argument the CO2 changes causes temperature changes whereas the evidence-based reality is that it is totally the other way round, with the CO2 changes often being significantly delayed effects of natural world temperature changes.
Man's impact on CO2 flux in and out of the atmosphere is only around 4% anyway! - termites produce 10 times the amount that mankind produces!

Given that today our scientists are seen as the truth-bearers of our society - that is the High Priests of this age, it is really disconcerting to see just another example here of the very questionable motives and deceptive approach of some within the ranks of the great endeavour that is Science.
As long ago as 1982 a great book 'Betrayers of the Truth' coupled with Thomas Kuhn's seminal work on Scientific Revolutions showed that this was a real problem. In 2017, a new classic, 'Fake Science' (by Austin Ruse) was published that further elucidates this serious problem.
