This Shabbat/Sabbath (October 13th-14th 2017) the cycle of Torah reading returns to the beginning, to Genesis 1.
There is so much that can be said about just the first 2 chapters of Genesis alone, including the amazing revelation from Physics that YOU, you and I, all of us, were there (in a physical sense) at the very beginning when the Universe was only energy!

And also the best understanding of Genesis 1:26 (from the leading Rabbi's as detailed in the Talmud) that essentially explains how humanity, unlike the rest of the Creation was made from both the heavens and the earth, from the physical AND the spiritual!
Again, an amazing understanding!
I have read a great many, many books on Genesis over many years, yet in the last few there are three that really stand out and offer three different perspectives that combined have a synergy that is impressive!
